The tips are easy to see and grip. The biggest advantage is that you can see more needles even if you don't have much needle output.
The shape of round liner tips is somewhere between round and diamond. That said, it's the better of the two. It offers maximum versatility and stability for a wide range of needle sizes.
Tips from 1 to 5: for the finest configurations, this configuration of tips is intended for fine needles, Dan tips for single needles up to 5 and 7 tight or bugpin.
Tips from 5 to 11: for medium configurations, Dan recommends using 5RIL to 9RL or 11 tight / bugpin.
For traditional 11s, it's best to choose tips 9 - 18.
Tips from 9 to 18: for the widest configurations, This tip configuration is for the widest needles. Dan recommends this tip for traditional 9 up to 14. For use with 18 gauge needles, it's best to use a tight or bupin 18 gauge.
For use with 9 or 11 tight or bugpin, it's best to choose tip size 5 to 11.
